Never think you can’t, instead stay positive, try harder, and be confident. Such is this beautiful actress who is the most stylish, strong and courageous, who wears confidence and shows her excellence in all that she does. Let us praise and appreciate the immense hard work and dedication of our desi girl on her special day. She is an inspiration to young girls and many women around the world. She is the Miss World 2000, Indian actress, philanthropist, and a singer. She is none other than the most Glamorous Girl “Priyanka Chopra”, who has worked in number of movies. But, do you know which her first movie was? She came on screen with a Tamil movie “Thamizaan” in the year 2000 when she was just 20. Though the film didn’t have much of her role, she was too good on screen that she didn’t have to wait for long time entering into the Bollywood. Soon in 2003, she starred in a Bollywood thriller movie “The Hero: Love story of a Spy” where Sunny Deal and Preity Zinta were also the lead characters. And from there on, her Bollywood journey begun.

She is a wonderful actress and has given perfection in all her roles. Her work in Mujse Shadi karoge, Andaaz, Waqt, Aitraaz, Fashion, Krrish and Krrish 3 was loved and appreciated by the audience. She even portrayed a negative role in the movie Aitraaz for which she received the Best Performance in a Negative Role Award by the Filmfare. She was even nominated for the best supporting actress for the same movie. In the year 2012, Anurag Basu’s “Barfi” was released. Barfi was a comedy drama starring Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Ileana D’Cruz. Priyanka very well played the character of Jhilmil Chatterjee who is autistic. It is highly commendable for an actress to perform such a strong role which no one would ever think of doing it. She even visited people with autism to prepare for her role. The film received 12 nominations and won 7 awards in the 58th Filmfare Awards. The film was also selected for the Best Foreign Language Film nomination as India’s entry for the 85th Academy Awards.

In 2013, Krish 3 was again a superb superhero movie co-starring Hrithik Roshan which brought some positive growth in her career. Next year in 2014, “Mary Kom” was released – a biographical sports movie which depicts the journey of Mary Kom of becoming a boxer. To get into the character of a five time world boxing champion and Olympic Bronze Medalist was no ordinary task. So, Priyanka started spending time with Mary Kom and undergo boxing training for four months. She even sung for ‘Chaoro’ and started her Hindi playback singing from this movie.  Her dedication and determination brought her nominations for the Best Film and Best Actress at the 60th Filmfare Awards. At the 62nd National Film Awards, the film won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome entertainment Award.  She even received many Best Actress awards for the film. Barfi and Mary Kom brought her great recognition.

She was the first South Asian woman to work in an American thriller series “Quantico” as Alex Parrish who is an FBI agent who becomes the suspect of bombing. In the year 2015, her role as Kashibai was admirable in the movie “Bajirao Mastani” co-starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. She has not only impressed her admirers with her beautiful looks and style but her expressions proved her as the best of all. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress at the 61st Filmfare Awards. The film received many other accolades and awards.

She is the highest paid actress gaining numerous awards including Padma Shri Award honored by Government of India in 2016. She is also one of the most 100 Powerful Women listed in Forbes. Priyanka made her Hollywood action film debut in 2017as Victoria Leeds, the antagonist in “Baywatch” opposite Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Her upcoming American Romantic Comedy movie “Isn’t it Romantic” is scheduled to be released on February 14, 2019, where she is playing the character of Isabella who is a Yoga Ambassador.

Priyanka was bullied when at school, faced racial discrimination about her color and the way she talks, which definitely must have made her feel low, but she has strongly overcome all the negativity through her hard work, passion for acting and her great contribution to social causes. She is actively working with UNICEF since 2006 and was appointed as the national and global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for child rights in 2010 and 2016.  She is a strong supporter of women’s rights, gender equality, and feminism.
