Flowers are one of God’s beautiful creations on earth. And a garden is always incomplete without beautiful flowers. The vibrant colors of the flower depict the life of Mother Nature. They are so delicate and smell sweet like fragrance. Some do have thorns but in no time an immense beauty will grow on it. A little love and care can make a beautiful garden filled with beautiful colors. Flowers also invite all kinds of birds to your garden, bringing it alive with beauty and motion.
When the sun rays fall on the petals,
It shines like a sparkling piece of gold.
Hummingbirds and Buzzing Bees,
Drink the nectar so sweet.
Tiny little Caterpillar,
Growing on the plant.

Marigold: Marigolds are annual plants and come in different colors. Shades of yellow and orange are most common of them. It has strong and pungent scent. Marigolds thrive in full sunshine and can often withstand very hot summers. Marigold is often used as bard coloring, and as an effective herb to treat skin problems.
Dahlia: Dahlia is a bushy perennial plant. They come in rainbow colors and has tuberous root. There are 42 species of Dahlia genus, but new continue to describe. Dahlias grow more blooms with 6 to 8 hours of direct sunlight.
Morning Glory: Morning glory is annual plant and is a climber. It has slender stems and heart-shaped leaves. The flower color varies from pink, purple-blue, magenta and white, and is of trumpet shaped. Morning glory was first known in China for its medicinal uses, due to the laxative properties of its seeds. Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted towards the big, colorful and sweet-smelling flowers.
Calendula: Calendula commonly called as Pot Marigold, are bright yellow and orange colored flowers. Parts of Calendula plants have been used traditionally for cooking, medicines and as fabric dye, and is also used in cosmetics. Calendulas require low maintenance and can be easily grown in pots in full sun to shady conditions.
Lupines: Lupines is a perennial which is found growing in wild. Lupine flowers grow on plants that have stiff and erect flower spikes that emerge from horizontal foliage. Lupine flower varies in deep blue, purple, yellow, pink or white colors. This plant grows in full sun to light shade.
Lavender: Lavender genus is annual or short lived perennial. Lavender grows well in pots and containers. It needs at least six hours of direct sun and is grown mainly for the production of essential oil of lavender which has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also used as a condiment.
Sunflowers: Sunflowers are usually tall annual or perennial plants that grow to a height of 120 in or more. Sunflowers are big and have daisy-like flower faces of bright yellow petals and brown centers. Sunflowers need full sun and should be grown on north side of the garden. Some varieties provide small black seeds that are used in cooking oil, margarine, cosmetics, and animal feed. The bigger seeds are used for snacking and as an ingredient in cooking.
Zinnias: Zinnias are annual are popular garden flowers. They come in a wide range of flower colors from white, chartreuse, yellow, orange, red, purple, or lilac. The flower can be single layer of petals to dome shape. Zinnias are easy to grow from seeds and needs full sun. They will reseed themselves each year.
Petunias: Petunias are one of the most popular flowers often grown as annuals. They can tolerate relatively harsh conditions and hot climates and need at least five hours of sunlight every day. Petunias bloom throughout summer and are found in every color. The two types of petunias are grandifloras and multiflorus. Grandiflora has larger flowers, but Multiflora holds up better in the rain.
Rose: A rose is a perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa. Rose plants comes in a variety of forms from climbing roses to miniature rose plants. Rose plant need at least 5-6 hours of full sun. There are over 150 species of roses. Flowers vary in size and shape and are usually large and attractive, colors ranging from white through yellows and reds. Rose petals are used in making of rose water, jams, rose syrup; rose oil is used to make perfume.
