Chana Chaat

Indians are taste lovers and they are fond of tangy spicy food. Among all different variety of food specially Indian Women are great lover of Pani Puri and Chaat. Many variations are seen in Chaat Recipes. Delhi Chaat, Ragda Chaat, Samosa Chaat, Dahi Chaat, Papri Chaat are some of the varieties of Chaat. Today I am presenting a new one and that is Chana Chaat (Chickpea Chaat).

Chana Chaat is majorly the combination of black and white chana’s, onion, tomato, boiled potatoes, green peas. This is a healthy recipe as chickpeas are rich in vitamins, minerals and fibres. So this is the tastier form of good intake beneficial for the body. so here is the recipe given below:

Ingredients:

  1. 50gm Kabuli Chana (White Chickpea)
  2. 50gm Desi Chana (Brown Chickpea)
  3. ½ chopped Tomato
  4. ½ chopped Boiled Potato
  5. 50 gm boiled Green Peas
  6. 1 Chopped Onion
  7. 2 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  8. 1 Green Chili
  9. 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  10. 1 tsp Mint Chutney
  11. 2 tsp Seesam seeds
  12. 1 Lemon
  13. 2 tsp Tamarind Chutney
  14. 1 spring Onion Chopped
  15. Salt as per requirement

 

Directions:

  1. Soak both the chana’s for 4 to 5 hours.
  2. Cook it having 6 whistles in a cooker with slow flame.
  3. Take a bowl add cooked chana’s, green peas and tomato.
  4. Also add chopped potato, onion and spring onion into it.
  5. Now add finely chopped green chili, seesam seeds into it.
  6. Put chutneys, red chili powder and salt as per requirements.
  7. Squeeze lemon and add chaat masala into it.
  8. Mix all the ingredients well.
  9. Your Chana chaat is ready.
  10. Garnish it with coriander leaves.

Additionally with all this nutritional ingredients cheese lover can grate some cheese with thin vermicelli on it to give presentable look.
